Trump on truth social
QuoteWhen Tariffs cut in, many people's Income Taxes will be substantially reduced, maybe even completely eliminated. Focus will be on people making less than $200,000 a year. Also, massive numbers of jobs are already being created, with new plants and factories currently being built or planned. It will be a BONANZA FOR AMERICA!!! THE EXTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE IS HAPPENING!!!

Communist bastard or great savior?
Making corporations and wealthy only Pay income tax with tariffs, would return the system to how it was originally sold to the people when amending the constitution for income tax powers

Bucky Cornstarch

The one thing that corporations can always be counted on to do is absorb any extra operating costs and not pass those costs on to the end customer.

I don't see how this plan could fail.

Who cares what corporations do when you get the choice of what to do with all of your money you get to keep

Exactly. I am looking forward to the huge tax breaks that this plan is sure to provide. I mean seriously, can you believe there are still people who doubt Trump's genius?

If that were true, I would be a tariff cheerleader.

So you like the pre 1913 America then. Pre sixteenth amendment, because that's how math and budgets used to work.

It's insulting that a politician would say something like this and expect people to believe it.

I don't see how any intelligent person could take this at face value and think it is realistic. A politician eliminating a revenue stream like income tax? Politicians are interested in two things; money and power. You need one to get the other.

And if anything like it ever did come up, by the time it made it into law it would be so perverted and corrupt we would be wishing for income taxes.
