Why don't you just merge General Discussion and Outhouse Forums?

We are really still a work in progress here.

The Outhouse was meant to be more of a place where the boys (and girls) could speak more freely without worrying about offending anyone's delicate sensibilities.  That's why that forum was made by request only.  If you are easily offended, simply don't request admittance.  If you do request admittance, don't complain about the content.

Seemed like a good idea, but what actually happened is that a few topics in the General Discussion forum started to drift more toward the Outhouse format.  

Mods and Admins are aware, we just need to come up with a game plan.

Assign ratings to each thread? Like movie rating. You can change a rating as it progresses. G, PG13, R, XXX (that's a joke).

If we decide to go this route, I think it would be best for the merged forum to also be request only.
We should create a poll in this case.

Why is that thread in the Outhouse anyway? Sensitivity to vegans?

I was going to say something and then realized that Jim put it perfectly.    

To put it a slightly different way, the "General Discussion" forum was originally meant to be a reflection of what we saw over on emc.  The "OutHouse" was meant for topics and posts that we couldn't get away with on emc. Not necessarily a free for all, but somewhere you could make a drunk post without worrying about offending people. Or discuss a topic that wasn't necessarily politically correct.

edit:  just as an fyi to mods - if you think that a topic belongs in General Discussion vs The Outhouse, it can be moved to GD leaving a shadow topic in place..
