Prescription drugs are so heavily regulated it is not a free market. This order requires manufacturers to have consistent prices worldwide thus making other counties pay the same for their drugs as we do. Yes price controls, but also America first policy.

IMO, libertarians are like flat earthers, they just refuse to accept reality, even when it is right in front of their face.

I'll be honest, I don't take any prescription drugs so I don't really know if prices have changed or not between Trump and Biden's policies. I do know that I agree with Trump's sentiment that American drug company customers should not be paying higher prices so the same drugs can be sold for way less to other countries. However, with the need for the FDA to regulate prescription drugs I don't know how you accomplish consistent pricing without price controls.

I don't know that I would go that far.   I think the term "libertarian" has become meaningless over the years. There are left libertarians and right libertarians. They support policy all over the spectrum. You can read three different articles on Reason's site written by three different people, and they will have completely different opinions.


As far as lowering prescription drug prices go, I'm for anything that helps make things affordable for senior citizens. There always seems to be a catch to Trumps policy when he claims to be helping the parasite class, so I'll wait until something becomes of this and keep my fingers crossed.
