There is a hierarchy of studies. From low to high.

Epidemiology/Observational
Cohort
Mechanistic
Control studies
Meta-analysis
Mendelian randomization.

By no means is this the complete list of study types, but generally fits the broad type categories.

Each one provides different but applicable data. Each has their strong point and limitations. For something to be considered scientifically valid it should follow a trend across multiple kinds of studies. Beware of individual studies that go against the majority body of evidence.

An example would be the big craze right now that seed oils will kill you. Influencers are picking one small mechanistic study and ignoring the larger body of scientific studies.

Yep - i was being facetious, quoting Horton but also from the view that a peer reviewed study, financed by the company which wants a positive outcome, *usually* gets a positive outcome.... obvious but again full circle to exactly what Horton said....

not trying it but do know of a few people that are, and they seem to say its working, the horse paste. I just got back from Idaho could have looked to see if they are indeed selling it OTC but not that interested. I world rater try a natural alternative if I felt like I had worms or parasites. Not much on self-prescribed drugs. accept alcohol

Just starting? You're lucky.

I guess I'm lucky....turning 60 (I'm a gonna say "soixante" from now on, because most Americans can't speak French and won't know what I'm talking about) this summer and man, have I got a head of hair! And hardly any of it's grey, either.

But here's the catch: depression runs in our family (both sides), so I just tell people that I've kept my hair but "lost my marbles!" LOL

We'll see if it's a better-than-even-trade or not....stay tuned!

My boss drinks two energy drinks every single day. I don't know how he does it.

I drink between two to four energy drinks most every day. I consider "Lit" to be the best but around here the only two places to get it is GNC and Amazon.

of the three people I know that are currently taking the horse paste all say they have better energy focus and also all three have lost a considerable amount of weight. They feel that the weight loss is from having the energy to do more in a day and not get as tired. All three of the acquaintances have had the clot shots and have had c19 several times and are worried as hell.
