Del.

I got the digital exam by my Urologist. I see a woman Nurse Practitioner for my yearly exams. She has never done one to me but medical speaking she should have. She's beautiful also but I wasn't going to beg for one. That's how they found the lump. Weird thing is I saw her do one on my wife.

In the uk, not that i ever really went, but my Doc retired....replaced by a nipper.... i went one day and he asked about a check up.
So i said "errrr, well, I suppose so".
He said "come on then, no time like the present".
I said "but this is the first time we've met"
Ohhhh we laughed....as i dropped my trousers.... :sofa:

And schedule a colonoscopy.

Maybe that was a poor choice of words.  :sofa:

PSA free test the more important of the two. PSA's will go up with age. So you should get the PSA free also.

QuoteAttempts to balance the possible harms against the number of lives saved have led to two decades of fluctuating – and confusing – public health guidelines on PSA screening. In 2012, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force advised against any screening, only to issue a watered-down recommendation in 2018 that men ages 55 to 69 discuss screening with their health care providers. Various physicians' groups offer conflicting guidance for this age group.
In its advice to older men, however, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has been somewhat more consistent. In 2008, the independent panel of national experts recommended men 75 and older not be screened, and since 2018, the panel has advised against screening men 70 and older.

This I think is a good/worthwhile excuse to make sure your doctor has as thorough a family history as possible. One individual's risk is going to be higher/lower than another's.

Also, it's another reminder/excuse to pay closer attention to your own body. Nobody knows your body more than you do.  Although to listen to my grandmother tell the story of her first breast exam... explaining to the doctor that my grandfather would be the best judge to decide if there were any changes to her breasts. #Noted

A lot of changes are gradual and you may miss things. Bring that stuff to your doctor, let him/her decide if something is something or merely old age, unless you really feel strongly about something, in which case, be your own best advocate.

Lost at the bottom of a lesbian stripper dog-pile – aka, the happiest man on the planet.

Nah, he's been gone since April. Nobody bugged me about being a Canuck quite like he did, hope he comes back someday.
