Yes. It explains that (more or less) in the article he posted. The one-month surplus in April really doesn't mean squat. If we still have a surplus in a few months, I can answer his tax cut question a little more honestly. :D
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

It HAS to start somewhere no?

Again, a marathon starts with a single step. We've been screwing ourselves for decades. It will NOT  be "fixed" in one administration.

The real question is can we take a step, and then another, and then another, and kerpbtaking steps?

I didn't see you guys saying that when we had a record surplus in April of 2022?  :D  To be fair, I wasn't saying it either because Biden was spending like a drunken sailor in a whore house.  :D

And it did start somewhere. It started with the added tax on consumers via tariffs.

I still haven't read what's in the "Big Beautiful Bill" yet. :D  I'm waiting for a breakdown.

Exactly. NOBODY was under any sort of delusion that The Incontinent one was 1) going to do ANYTHING BUT grow the deficit, 2)Be in charge of anything even his own bowels and 3) do somethign for the good of the nation

So there's that.

It's already been neutered by a bunch of the shitbird republicans.  Trump's original plan or ideas started out great

Some of those Republicans are probably worried about getting reelected when half of their voters find themselves with no food or medical insurance?

When you look at the breakdown of who this plan benefits and who it doesn't, you can guess who ends up on which end of that stick?
