Putin wants to rebuild the Soviet Union, most of the Ukrainian people do not want to live with a Russian boot on their neck again.
He annexed Georgia and Crimea without a whimper for the West and expected no less when he invaded Ukraine.

I think this is a very serious situation. Putin doesn't want peace. He doesn't care how many of his people die. He's all in. WW 3 is a possibility.

Unfortunatly, I think limited without military intervention.

The Senate has been grumbling about imposing sanctions on Russia, including their oil exports.
That won't work. Russia has insulated itself, producing almost everything they need domesticly. As far as their oil exports, China is willing to import Russian oil, especially if the USA and China are in a trade war.

The Royal family serve the crown, they are "the faces". They do not have rights to the crown benefits, only ones that are awarded to them - they cannot sell any crown property, they cannot benefit from any of the (massive) rental income from all the land - so they cannot own it if they cannot benefit from it.
But they are the faces - the authorised signatory.
I've not got to the bottom of the US, but Canada, UK, Aus NZ etc - no-one actually owns their property because they do not have allodial title to the land. It's all crown land.
