I think there were scenes like this all over the midwest.

We were getting emergency alerts for flash flooding all afternoon.

Wichita is built on a flood plane, so there are flood control measures in place, they just get overwhelmed sometimes.

It was happening all around me but all I saw was some hard rain for about an hour and then lighter rain the rest of the day.

I heard some people very near by got hammered so I guess I got lucky.

Yeah, I thought the windows were fogged over but it was just raining so hard you couldn't see through it.
