Our tariffs wouldn't be so high if the countries we're putting those tariffs on weren't taking advantage of us for the last few decades.

You won't get less. They'll just go somewhere else. That doesn't solve the problem, it just makes it someone else's problem? Which I can't say that I'm necessarily against at this point. 

Only reason to go somewhere else is if they pay better or the sleeping outside has nicer weather. San Francisco is nice this time of year....and the $600/mo they pay to sleep on the streets ain't too shabby either.

I don't think people choose homelessness for the potential income, at least not nationwide. A large portion of the homeless population don't receive government benefits even if they are eligible.

The point is, they're going to be homeless regardless. You're not solving any problems by starving them to death. Well, I mean, unless you see it that way.
