I would agree with you, but 2 hard core lefties appointed this guy to political positions in their administrations.
That makes no sense if the guy is a right wing religious zealot.

The positions he was appointed to were nonpartisan positions. The part that's unclear to me, is how you become eligible for those positions but to quote a report:

"This appointment was part of a broader slate of appointments made by Walz and did not involve direct interaction between Walz and Boelter, as the governor's office typically does not conduct personal interviews for such board positions.".

In some local Cities here in Washington, you can just apply for the position. I have no idea how you're vetted for the position, but I would bet that neither Governor that appointed him, knew him personally.

His wife being an intern for Walz would make all of this seem more suspicious, but I don't know if that is even true at this point because I can't seem to find any credible evidence of it. Just a bunch of accusations on social media. 

I feel like it's too early in the investigation for me to be jumping to conclusions and TBH, I don't care who he supports politically, as long as he's off the street and where he belongs.
