I've never cared one iota about musicians political leanings. If I like their music I listen to it, and if I don't like it, I don't listen.  U2 has never really appealed to me. On the other hand, Steve Earle is one of my all time favorites, I think he is a Bernie Sanders guy.

I always assume any type of "artist" is left meaning. We don;t need to align politically in order for me to enjoy their music. 

These people are entertainers. I have ZERO interest in anything they do outside of their entertaining, and I have to say I care even less as if that was even possible, about what they think about anything outside of their craft. They are entertainers. They are so far removed from the real life that the VAST majority of people live in. They shoudl stick to entertaining... except Bruce Springsteen. That turd should go play on the freeway.
