Only reason I haven't tried a circle segment yet is tool pressure + associated tool vectors to hit the various radii on the cutting edge.

A lot of times when I am 'forced' to finish a wall/feature with true 5ax movements, it's usually a feature with thin walls/little support/hard to reach areas.
In the hard to reach areas, the extra needed tilt to hit the small tip radius on the cutter may cause a problem, or depending on what area of the circle segment is being used, seems like tool pressure would vary quite a bit, and I'm often dealing with a very picky Q.C. in terms of surface finish/blends  (ugh lol)
I just know I can get the surface finish needed and nice smooth kinematic movements with a ballmill at the cost of cycle time.... praise jesus for palletized mills hehe

I do be overthinking shit though so maybe I could get them to work great hahaha.
Waiting on the right project to justify trying for sure!

I've done quite a bit of 3 axis finishing with the lens tools. I wish they existed 15 years ago when I was working on refinishing high-wear production dies achingly slowly with ball tooling. The visual striations you end up with are definitely things that are going to spark conversations with QC, but the profilometer or an indicator doesn't lie...
