Has anyone used these things?  I usually just make a back plate and bolt that down to the table for one off type parts. These could save some time if they have good holding force.  I'd need them to hold large blocks of titanium.

Years back I did...they help a 90lb 7075 plate for roughing

We did find that after roughing we had to retorque them...beyond that, they performed well

I remember finishing a part, it was great no issues, but I go too close to the floor and the material relaxed, the vise and clamps weren't
even tight!!

The large size of the part is your friend in that case, because of the weight, so there's that on your side..

Had a customer make us use them on some parts. They were 400 lb TI forgings and they held them with no issues.

We would be holding down 360ish pound blocks with them so that's the kind of feed back I'm looking for.  Thanks.
