we always seem to find a way to excuse the guy who is advocating for the policies we like.

somehow we always see an apples\oranges comparison between our guy and the other guy. It is a sad reality.

I find it a little hard to believe that "tens of thousands of videos" (Bondis words) contained no incriminating evidence of anyone except Epstein and Maxwell.  :shrug:

Let me ask it another way. If you found out that Trudeau was in the epstein files as someone who was sleeping with underage girls, would you still vote for him rather than Pierre Poilievre? (I am just using those names because they are the names I know) If so, then the epstein files are just about as irrelevant as Trump says they are.

Nope in that instance I would happily vote for Singh.

They'd bury the story deeper than JT was in that schoolgirl at West Point, and make anyone who questions it seem like a holocaust denier.

As far as comparisons go though, can you imagine if Trump had confirmed photographs of him in blackface? Wonder how that would play out...

There were so many people in the 90's doing skits in blackface that if something were to surface, I'd probably poke fun at it, but wouldn't take it seriously.  Look at some of Howard Sterns early stuff. He did a few horribly racist skits and I don't think he's been cancelled? That's just to name one.

It's hard to compare that to the underage women thing.

This is true, unfair comparison, my bad. Those are not equivocal transgressions.

I've been struggling with the why of it all too. Why does it seem like in almost every culture, the most powerful people trend toward paedophilia? Is it merely chasing taboos for kicks once you've 'done it all'? Actual demons? I don't know man. US soldiers in the Gulf War were trafficking young boys to the Mujahideen to placate them, we have the grooming gangs in the UK. The middle east, Asia, royalty, senators, CEO's... And it's like, "Yea we know it happens, not much we can do since they run the world. Don't let your child get kidnapped is all we can say."

The same as his confirmed constant association with a pedophile, the recordings of him saying he grabs women etc etc. his base doesn't care so nothing happens.
