I'm at the Knoxville airport. Was on a plane waiting to leave. They noticed a hole in one of the shrouds on an engine. They made us wait for an hour on the plane with no AC before they finally deboarded. It was getting ridiculously hot. Now we are waiting for them to find a replacement part or a different plane. At least we are waiting in the AC temp terminal now

Airports always seem hot to me. I try to do my waiting in a restaurant; while waiting in the gate area, it seems the only breeze is when someone walks by.

Reminds of waiting in the greyhound bus station except no creepy guy wearing a cross lapel pin is telling me his wife is out of town and would I like to come home with him.

I'm in cali.  about 30 miles east of Sacramento.  our summer has been so mild this year.  the last week has been mid 80's.  i think we have only had 4-5 days where it hit 99-100.

our summer has been mild here as well, until this past week. this has been one of the wettest July's that I can remember. we've had 8 inches of rain in the past 2 weeks. I can't keep ahead of the mowing.

Still waiting. We now have a plane but the original crew got sent on a different flight. We are supposed to have a crew in another 1.5 hours.
