I have never programmed a lathe outside of making a test program for the maintenance guy to test a machine he rebuilt.  This was all done in X6, I have a guy asking if I can help them out with programming a part on their lathe they need pretty badly. Is there anyone here that is familiar with Mastercam Lathe on Mastercam 2025 that I can pick your brain on a few things like best way to setup Mastercam and the toolpaths for success?

Thanks in advance
Jon

I've done it about once a year, every year for 25+ years and I still have to fumble my way thru Mastercam Lathe. If I could help I would but there's gotta be someone much more experience with it than I am in here.

Is there anything in particular you're looking for?

Best way to set it up I guess.  For now I talked them in to doing it on a mill since they need it in a pinch, but I would still be interestedin learning how to do the lathe portion anyways since it will only help me out in the future.

Thanks, I also found some youtube videos from a reseller for Mastercam 2021 that I will be going through as well.  I figure 2021 is close enough to 2025 that it should transfer fairly well.
