I believe it was Winston Churchill who said something like "democracy is the worst form of government ever devised, except for all of the other forms that have been tried" (I will have to see if I can find the actual quote), and on occasion I've wondered the same about our current incarnation of what we call "capitalism."

After brief reflection, I think I can put a finer point on it: the problem isn't really about "capitalism" or "democracy" per se, it has more to do with the corruption of either by the undue influence of $$$ (especially with regards to "democracy").

Citizens United, anyone?

We have unions to thank for that ruling. Their decades of unlimited contributions almost entirely to Democrats/Democrat causes brought that ruling onto us.

Unfortunately we gotten even worse than that. We are so tribally divided now that no dissent is allowed. You are not allowed to be critical or question something your tribe does. This is even worse than the $$$ corruption.

You know, I think you're right. We should let Union thugs and Democrats rule over us. It's working so well in Hawaii, California, New Jersey, and Chicago. We DEFINITELY need more of that.

We all have Nazi Pelosi to thank for the current state of affairs. She took the gloves off when she called Republicans and their supporters "enemies of the state"... it's on. There's no walking that back. So yeah, anybody that voted for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of The House... they are supporeters of that and they waned tribalsm... they got it. In spades.
