I think it has more to do with whether his supporters would still support him if they knew that he was, or was protecting known pedophiles or not.

A leger poll found that 47% of Republican voters said their vote for Donald Trump would not be affected even if he were officially implicated in Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking activities, but take that with a grain of salt. Leger is a Canadian polling firm. They're apparently considered one of the more accurate polling firms in Canada? Not sure what that has to do with the US, who from the US would be taking that poll, or how they could prove it's accuracy.
