He's a good coach... for the right team. I was a little bummed things didn't work out for him at USC.

You can't honestly say that was a catch and a touchdown. The announcers, AND the useless "rules analyst" all said that it was a touchback because he didn't have possession when crossing the goal line and then came down out of bounds.
That much is clear....unless you're a referee getting paid.
Oh and not to mention the same refs called that first one a touchdown when he was A YARD AND A HALF SHORT!
Thankfully someone had a brain cell and over ruled that one.

I knew we didn't have much of a chance, 3 senior starting captains out, playing a ton of freshman, etc...so many injuries across the board we were on one leg entering that game.

Sparty fires Johnathan Smith (shocker). The games that I saw this year, he just looked disinterested, like he didn't want to be there. I dunno if that's how he was at Oregon St and that's just him?


Rumor has it that Pat Fitzgerald will step in. I've always liked him as a player and a coach. And if NW would have had the same resources as a bigger school (like Michigan State) I believe they would have been a powerhouse.
