Quote from: CNCAppsJames on October 17, 2025, 04:48 PMTomorrow we're facing the Golden Homos... errrrr Notre Lame.
I watched a little bit of the 4th quarter when you guys were down by 3.
11:00 left in the 4th.
Rainy.
And then USC thought it would be a good idea to run a reverse and have the WR throw the ball.
Whoever called that play is a moron and it probably cost them the game. Even I was yelling WTF are you doing? lol.

I'm still amazed that Miami lost. I forgot that was on a Friday so I didn't get to watch it.
TT lost.

Arch Manning plays another shit team and still can't put up the numbers that he was hyped to put up, they beat KU in overtime and STILL drop a spot in the polls lol.
12 for 27 with 132 yards.  Pathetic.

Michigan is 2 different teams. The kind that play like they did v Oklahoma and USC (complacent and closed play book)), and the kind that play against the other teams. Completely different teams. Saturday's Michigan team (hungry and open play book).
Bryce Underwood has virtually identical stats ass Arch Manning but he's a true freshman and had a limited playbook the first couple of games.

So I'm watching College Gameday on Saturday morning, and James Franklin comes and sits down at the panel.
The utter bullshit that spewed out of this mans mouth was incredible.
He was shocked that he got fired. And he had the nerve to say "I'll just go win the national title somewhere else!"
ROFL.
And then Saban stroked his ego saying that the firing was basically bullshit.

But to sit there on national television and act like you're shocked that you got fired for going what... 4-21 against top 10 teams and 3 (now 4) straight losses after being pre-season rank 2?
How many years have I come here and wondered why he still had a job?
PSU fans have got to be happy that he's gone I would imagine.

That play turned the tide. That was an idiotic play call in those conditions, against that defense, and chasing 3...

And just like that... Lincoln Riley will be on the hot seat. If we don't beat UCLA.... he may not make it to the end of the season. He's like 5-12 against ranked opponents since arriving at USC.

What he didn't have at Oklahoma... lore. A few CFB teams are CFB football royalty. They will get the absolute very best game a team can muster, every single down. For may teams, it's their Bowl Game against these teams. That is not the case at every school.

The USC Football coaches full time job is to manage that. It's an incredibly difficult ask. Only a small handful of coaches have been able to manage that ask throughout the program's history, starting with Howard Jones in the 1920's and ending with Pete Carroll in the early 2000's. Seems like for us it runs in 20-30 year cycles. Before Pete, it was the 70's John McKay and John Robinson era. Then mostly dry 80's and 90's.

Guess we shall see.

As much as I like Desmond, he asked him how it has affected Franklin's family. What a stupid question.
His whole appearance on that show was a complete PR stunt I'm convinced. Not surprising coming from ESPN.

By the way, I love the Jaxon Fart sign in the background lol.

And the "Lane Kiffin poops standing up" sign.

Saban and Franklin have the same agent it appears.

Also Saban trying to compare Franklins teams to his Bama teams is hilarious.
Arguably the best CFB coach ever was and the run he had at Bama was insane.
Much different than Franklin and PSU.

As much as I dislike Saban, he was a very successful CFB coach. FEW can even be mentioned in the same sentence as him... who is that Franklin turd?

Michigan gets the Paul Bunyan trophy for the 4th straight year.
Little brother is back where they belong...being mediocre.

Indiana should be Ranked #1 IMO. They're on fire! They beat 2 top 10 teams while the SUCKeyes haven't played anyone (massively overhyped Texas doesn't count)
The SUCKeyes should be 3rd behind Indiana and Texas A&M.

The Ole Miss/Oklahoma game was pretty good. I don't understand Kiffin, twice their QB marched them down the field only to put in the other QB and have him overthrow the guy in the end zone 4 straight times forcing a FG.
That game should have been a blowout.

Brian Kelly has been fired.

lol Dan gave me the finger he doesn't like what I said.
But he can't say that the suckeyes have better wins than Indiana and Texas A&M.
The only reason they're #1 is pre-season rankings which mean jack squat.
GO BLUE!

So....Indiana should be ranked higher? LOL (having a great start but come on..)

Aggies playing well, too.

We don't play Indiana regular season. Hopefully we play them in the B1G title game. Hoosiers impressive.. But Ohio State too much for them (or any team..........REPEAT!!!)

Absolutely!
Based on beating Oregon who is STILL in the top 10.
The suckeyes haven't beaten anyone close to that. And a massively over-ranked Texas doesn't count, they're at #20 and shouldn't be.

I'm no fan of their coach, I think he's a raging dooshbag, but you can't deny what is happening in Indiana.
Their QB might just in the heisman.

Dan_AKA_ROY23

Is it THAT funny, James? Ohio State repeating? Why not?

Indiana really good, obviously. They destroyed Illinois (who beat USC....LOL)

My brother is an Indiana grad, not a huge sports fan but excited this year. When he went there, a 2 win season was considered a success. (times have changed)

Whereas, teams like (even USC) but mainly UM and OSU have been good to great for decades. Staying power..

Watch out Suckeyes, Penn State has nothing to lose, they just might win the game tomorrow. 8)
My pick for upset of the week is BC beating ND.
