A day at the Boat Ramp

Me and the wife have sat at a boat ramp for a couple hours. It's a blast watching people.

You should try the Ramps at Lake Casitas , Elsinore , Havasu.

I'm talking 3 miles of a line coming in. >:(

There is a ramp on the Mississippi river near us that we like to use, mostly because it has docks. backing into it is easy enough, but the problem with that ramp is, there is a submerged wing dike just up stream from it. it causes an eddy in current. so when you first approach the ramp the current is pushing you down stream and you have to adjust for that and then just before you get to the boat trailer the current pushes you upstream. after you've used the ramp a couple of times you sort of get the trick to landing it just right, but it is funny to watch a new guy use it. almost always here a series of WTF's over top the boat engine. And there is nearly always some guys sitting on a Deck from the Bar near it, drinking beer and laughing at the scene.

You're not truly married until you and the wife launch a boat.

I've had some bad days at the boat ramp too.

Forgot to put plug in.
Boat slid off trailer with bow pointing up at sky.

just as much fun watching people back their travel trailers into their campsites. takes a day+ for the husband and wife to talk again  ;D

the goal is not to own a wake boat,... but to acquire friends that do LOL

I grew up in a small town of Marble Falls, Texas. One of the few things to do was go out on the lake and I am very grateful I had a great group of friends who allowed that to happen.
