It almost seems like an ego thing for you to admit that non-Christians can practice forgiveness. I would remind you that practicing humility is also a basic teaching of Christianity.

Anyway, you believe what you want to believe and I'll do the same.

If that is how it came off, I have to apologize to you and others for not explaining it well. My belief is that my ability to forgive comes from God, not from myself or anyone else. I have nothing to brag about or to draw any pride from, once-so-ever. On the contrary it is Christ through his death and resurrection who bestows on people, the gift of  grace to forgive. And I should add that God can and does bestow grace even on non-believers, sometimes. which is why I was saying you can measure a person's "closeness to Christ" rather than just saying only a christian can forgive.

And Kimmel has his job back.

Honestly I have never watched his show anyways....my life is the same with him on the air or not.

Me neither. I wouldn't have missed him one way or the other.

Did he apologize like they insisted? I thought I read that they also tried to coerce him in to donating to Kirks family or organization.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

I think that Disney forgot for a second that Republicans already hated them and that a majority of their customer base, who is now starting to boycott them, are on the other side of the aisle.

To test that theory out, ask G if he has a Disney subscription.  :D

Practicing forgiveness is a term I haven't heard of.

I wonder if somebody wants to test the FCC license granting rules?

Licensing and regulation of Television, AM, and FM Broadcasting frequencies are prescribed and regulated by the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, it sets up certain basic requirements and regulations including restrictions against indecency or obscenity.

SCOTUS has repeatedly held, even shortly after the passage of the Communications Act of 1934, that the inherent scarcity of radio spectrum allows the government to impose some types of content restrictions on broadcast license holders even in light of  the First Amendment.

Cable and satellite providers are also subject to some content rules/regulations under Title VI of the Communications Act such as no obscenity, even though the limitations are not nearly as restrictive compared to TV broadcast stations.

As much as I am loathe to say it, we do have a Disney subscription. I have grand kiddos that we keep it for. I do not believe we pay for it directly though. I think we get it with out cell service provider.

I support the good movies Disney produces and don't touch the ones that are trash. Lately it's been a 10:1 ratio of trash to good movies. Walt DIsney use to push "story" and "character development". The hack writers today push narrative over  "story" and "character development".It's a shame really.

I don't necessarily need my Disney Movies to be "wholesome". Anyone that didn't  in Toy Story when Mr. Potato Head pulled his lips off and patted his butt with them when Woody was talking doesn't have a soul.

SO many of the movies are like that now though. Substance takes a back seat to narrative.

Yeah, I've never seen the appeal in watching stuff like this: they're not really news programs per se. They seem to be heavy on drama, and often light on facts or analysis. If I wanted to feel validated about just about anything in my life I'd just hang out with friends or other folks who are primarily agreeable.

They may be looking at it from the direction that Kimmel's contract is up in May of next year. He may still disappear eventually anyway?

Gee, it's almost as if it had nothing to do with the government.
That's weird.

I highly, highly doubt there was that wasn't in politics or media.
