Charlie Kirk was a young man who knew exactly what he believed and who he was.

The politicians and talking heads we hear from scroll their social media feeds and decide on daily basis what they currently need to believe and who their supporters want them to be.

The problem is that social media is the lowest common denominator of public option.

You know what - I agree with Jeff, I think the celebration of the violence of Kirk's death has been gross. His support for policies causing people harm, along with his denial of the 2020 election can have people viewing him as a traitor, so while I can see why they might think that way - it's a pretty pathetic response. I would rather see someone fined and sued into obsolescence.

And when the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, in an official capacity, calls the opposition party or anyone who votes for them "enemies of the state"... it's on.

It would not be impossible to walk that back, but it pretty much can't be walked back at this point.
