It sounds like this fool spent the last 10 years of his life playing first person shooters
He's killed a jillion bad guys and been killed thousands of times.
He probably thought he would get reset and he could try it again for a better score.

Quote from: Jeff on September 25, 2025, 06:53 AMFire any teacher that indoctrinates students of any age with their ideology.
You do understand that the entire function of school is social indoctrination.  It's the beginning of shared purpose and more importantly consensus reality that allows a society to function.
I seem to remember something about the right taking a dump on the importance of education.  But then to stand aside and be appalled that others that don't share that view step in to fill the void is comical, and it's even more funny to feign shock that those other people also don't share your views on topics other than education.  The right made a bed to lie in.  (I love the double meaning there - because lie they do!)

You're ignoring what is actually happening.
Students getting an F or kicked out of class for not writing about Trans or lgtbqhserrt bullshit that the teacher or professor demdands.
There are degrees for gender studies, that alone needs to be wiped out.
A teacher in Toronto showed the video of Charlie Kirk getting shot to 10 year old kids and saying he deserved it.
Fucking 10 year olds!

But hey, you keep on blaming Republicans because you refuse to accept the truth.

The Frankfurt School got to 'em all, boss. No hope yet left. Three generations deep now, and they don't even know they're pawns.

I think that's the one thing we ought to be able to agree on.  We're all being pawned by both "sides". :-[

So then you are agreeing that US educational institutions are liberal indoctrination centers.

When education, particularly funding for education, is constantly under attack from the right, is it all that surprising that the folks struggling to keep those educational institutions functioning happen to be indoctrinated by the right to be against the right out of instinctual self preservation?

Jeff is proof that Trump's efforts to gut the education system and dumb down the electorate aren't really necessary.

This proves that you've never watched one of Charlie Kirk's debates vs college students.
They are supposedly "educated".
But they are a long ways away from being smart.

Keep in mind that you are only seeing a few students out of thousands in those videos.

My wife taught in public schools here for many years and I only met one teacher who openly tried to influence the students political views. But, also, most of the ones I met were science teachers and didn't really have time for much besides class prep; i.e. setting up labs, etc.

I just think we need to keep in mind that anyone who appears in an online video is probably at one extreme or the other.
It's no different than porn or professional wrestling. You have to distinguish yourself from the crowd.

no it actually doesn't make sense for self preservation. Usually when a particular group tries to get funding, they cater to the people who hold the purse strings. Universities could squash all of the funding issues, if they simply started courting republicans. but they don't because they are too ideologically entrenched against them even to the point of their own peril.

That does explain a lot. 77% can't read and therefore need to be told what they should know.  I guess anybody could just tell them anything and they'd have to believe it.

I'm not surprised. My wife complains that she has to spend a lot of time teaching her students math again before she can teach them chemistry or physics.
The people who come in to "train" the teachers a lot of times have very little actual class room experience.
