1. Trump requested a national guard presence and was denied
2. There was not enough law enforcement present to defend the capitol. The mob had free rein to do as they wished

Problem is, your first fact is categorically incorrect.  There were 340 Guardsmen assigned to traffic/security in DC prior to the events of that afternoon.  The call for assistance came from DC mayor and Capitol Police around 2pm, and 1100 more Guardsmen were called up.  It was almost 4 hours later that they intervened and started to secure the capitol.
And the problem with number two is the fact that for a variety of reasons, only 340 Guardsmen were added for security Jan.5-Jan.6, purposefully limiting the ability to secure the capitol even though it was well known that the anti-antifa (Proud Boys / Oath Keepers) was going to be out and organized.  If they're anti-antifa does that make them fascists?
