Quote from: CNCAppsJames on November 17, 2025, 12:20 PMThe CIA needs to control the flow of narcotics so they can get their cut. They don't need to answer to congress for that money. All wars have at least a small component of resources to them.

We then linked up with a sister agency (whose collaboration with the FBI is highly classified), which was slated to take legal custody of the drugs and transport them to Miami for the next phase of our operation.

I wonder who that "sister agency" is.  The article states that all drugs were seized, but we know this has not always been the case.

The CIA is not legally allowed to collaborate with the FBI... so we know it's the CIA.

You said that "Venezuela is a major transit hub for drugs", which is also true, but NOT to the US. A fraction of the drugs that come in to the US, come through Venezuela. Most come from Mexico.

They are using drugs as an excuse.

They've already used WMDs as an excuse so that won't work again. Will it? :headscratch:

Regime change it is!

White House gives Maduro ultimatum as U.S. moves toward land operations

https://archive.ph/7h25d

"As Washington prepares to launch land attacks inside Venezuela, a long-awaited phone call between the White House and Caracas aimed at defusing the crisis carried a blunt message for strongman Nicolás Maduro: You can save yourself and those closest to you, but you must leave the country now, sources familiar with the exchange told the Miami Herald."

"Washington demanded that Maduro and his top allies leave Venezuela immediately to allow the restoration of democratic rule, while regime leaders proposed handing political control to the opposition but retaining command of the armed forces.

According to the sources, the U.S. message to Maduro was direct: Safe passage would be guaranteed for him, his wife Cilia Flores, and his son only if he agreed to resign right away."

If we invade Venezuela, wouldn't that make us just like Russia?

When did Russia invade Venezuela?
But it doesn't matter.  It's only bad when they do it.  When we do it we're helping.

I think that was a Russia/Ukraine parallel?

I mean, we took turns with Afghanistan.  Maybe we should get really ambitious and invade Belarus.  Talk about a non-democratic democracy.
