Yeah, I'm currently posting via a Verizon hotspot on my PC because my cable broadband has been down about 8 hours now.
Spectrum's automated service line say's it's down "over a wide area due to vandalism"
translation... some funking junky cut and stole about 50 feet of a cable trunk line.
Should the cops catch the guy he'll be released from jail before the Spectrum crews are finished with the repairs

I gotta give Trump credit for not riding the "drug" thing into the ground. Everybody already knew that was all bullshit so I guess he did his due diligence on "plausible" deniability and just moved on.

He wasted little time in pivoting to the real mission. Oil and resources. Our oil companies are going to be busy for a while now.

It doesn't really make sense though. My understanding is Maduro offered up all of Venezuela's resources to the U.S. to placate Trump. And Maduro would seem to be exactly the kind of guy Trump would admire so why bother to bring him in?

My guess is that James is correct on this one. They don't want Venezuela resources going to China and Russia. This is the closest they can get to guaranteeing that won't happen.

Right you are. I should have said everybody who isn't a hard core MAGA repug knew it was bullshit.

Personally I expect Russia will be a big customer of VUSA oil. I wouldn't be surprised if China is too.

Time will tell I guess.
