Especially since the EU rescinded the 2035 combustion engine ban yesterday.

You might have to make your own.  Ran across this the other day.

Not that well done of a video - he just kinda rambles.  But it is a pretty cool project.
I'm just glad it's a 1602 and not actually a 2002.  Then I'd be pretty pissed off.
Those old M10 engines were bullet-proof, and so balanced with the car.

^^^^ they do some cool conversions - they did a mini cooper (original) by memory.
There's a few niche company's in the UK doing superb builds - there's a etype modern replica company and a company remaking the old escort rally car.
But yeh, as EV goes, this beemer rocks.

It's just sad that they made it heavier and messed with f/r weight distro.  Those little cars just danced when set up with decent shocks, and keep the tires little so they didn't bind it up.  4-speed was great, long third and decently torquey 2.0l 4-banger and you could just sit there on a windy back road, or mash the box and work it at near-legal speeds.  Almost no sag in the suspension so it would quite literally float over the rises.

I nearly bought a 2002Ti once....ended up with a C2 Alpina instead.
I still have a diecast model of the 2002....

The time to worry is when Lloyds of London won't insure something. Until then... Keep Calm, and Carry On.

The fact Obama bought beach front property tells you he knows that the "oceans are rising" and "the oceans will literally boil" nonsense isn't worth the breath expelled to say it.

Greta and the rest of those morons need to go find a tree to apologize to... that poor thing worked it's leaves off to provide oxygen for those wastes of space.

I did a mild restro... little things like put a E30 full leather interior into it. Rebuilt the front end and put new genuine discs on it and i went through every catalogue known to man to try to find standard others to mod which would have saved me a lot of coin.... but nope.... specific only to this car.
I did find the front callipers were actually the same as a Lotus Carlton, so managed to get a refurb pair at reasonable cost.
Programmed (my first ever job) a C2.7 badge and made it for the trunk and got some paint done.
Anyway.... sold it to a mate for 3k and roll forwards 10 years and i see one advertised for 90k....
I also had a lovely 325 sport with LSD  at the time.
I would say the C2 was 10% better all round. Stop go handling....
I wanted so bad to put a 3.5 lump in a 325 sport with LSD but having to start a company and grown up things got in the way....

Ref your Q.... i had a Triumph TR5T 500 twin. US market model re-imported to UK. 1970 and i did a lot of work on it - ally mudguards, put an ally tank on it yada yada. It was a peach.
Took it to Spain and left it in my garage for 7 years because too much a ballache to register.
Moved to Cyprus and i couldn't bring it. It wasn't allowed through customs and had to be returned to cunt trea of origin UK.
That was given away on ebay a month ago

You said E30. I knew we could be friends!

(I also used to have a little side business machining grille badges for air cooled Porsches)
