This is another example of why I should stay away from the news.

Technically, legally, was he allowed to shoot her? Maybe. I don't know how you step in front of a moving car and then claim self defense, but, okay.

Morally, should he have shot her? Absolutely not.

The fact that he was shooting her while she was driving past him isn't a good look.

She obviously wasn't trying to run the guy over. She was trying to leave because she didn't want to be detained. She did bump the guy with her car. Was that enough to justify shooting her in the head while she was driving past?  I'd have to agree with you. Morally, absolutely not.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

I feel the same about this as I did about Ashley Babbitt. I hated that she got shot but at the same time, she put herself that situation. And when federal agents tell you to get out of the car, driving away when there is an agent standing in front of your car, is a disastrous decision. Then, at the same time he was out of harms way by the time he pulled the trigger.

I hate that this happened.

We have the benefit not only of hindsight, but of slow motion.

He had to make a decision NOW. He hesitates, he doesn't go home... possibly ever again. Regardless of the outcome, his career is over.  I think after all the details come out, it's going to be a good shoot with a bad outcome.

Word to the wise, don't FA, chances are you won't have to FO.

Not necessarily true.

Officer Justin Rapp shot and killed an unarmed man who posed no threat to him or his fellow officers, or anyone for that matter. This was during the swatting incident where someone made a call saying the someone had killed someone and was holding people hostage. Cops surrounded the house. The cumstain Justin Rapp was across the street with a rifle. When Andrew Finch stepped out on the porch to see what was going on, Rapp shot and killed him. Finch was unarmed, had made no threatening movements. Numerous offices who were closer than Rapp saw no need to shoot. When he was being interviewed for a possible promotion by his superior, Rapp was asked what he would say to the Finch family. His response was that he would tell them to get over it. Investigations showed he even bragged about it in texts.
He eventually got his promotion and is now a detective.
Even though his actions cost the city of Wichita a 5 million dollar settlement.

So, no. The ICE agent's career is not necessarily over. I hope it is, but he might just as easily get a promotion.

The Feds have a witness who lives on the street where this occurred.
The witness states the woman who was killed was the lead vehicle in a effort to block ICE from entering the neighborhood.
There are numerous videos from different angles showing the woman cranking her steering wheel hard left and accelerating into the ICE agent. These same videos show him sprawled over the hood firing his pistol though the windshield.
As usual, the media is only showing us what they want us to see and telling us only what they want us to know.

She was involved with intereing with ICE all day, they were harassing, ICE was going to arrest her for interfering and then she tried to run a cop over...there IS video out there...once they made the call to lawfully arrest arrest here and she one tried to run and two hit an officer, she entered territory that she was in WAY over here head...

Sorry, it is no great loss.

If she had stayed home and minded her OWN business, this discussion would not even be happening

From the POV of the officer, she was attempting to assault him with a deadly weapon, a 4500lb Honda.

He is entitled to protect himself.

The more important issue is why are people so quick to disregard the instructions of people with GUNS!

I mean, for fuck sake. Right, wrong, or indifferent, when a LEO with a GUN tells you to do something, FUCKING DO IT!

You will NEVER win your case with them outside of court. All you are doing is putting your life in danger.

This chick was a widow. Now her kid gets to grow up with no parents because she was stupid.

She FAFO'd.
Tragic yes. But it was the result of her own choices.
She tried to run him over. Isn't he in the hospital because of that?

There are many camera angles, most of which the MSM isn't showing. And from what I've seen they're muting it as well.

I've seen a bunch of these video's and that's not exactly what I saw.

She backed up and away from the officer. Then turned her wheels to the right so she could pull away. He was still standing at the front corner of her vehicle when she started to pull away. When she started pulling away, he stepped to the side and started shooting. This was after he was out of harms way.

I get it. It's still a split second decision, but it didn't look like he was about to lose his life to me.

There are some synced up videos that show the footage from multiple angles at once. You can clearly see that he started shooting when he was on the side of the vehicle.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

I never said you were disgusting. Just that you said something stupid. We all do.
