Obama still holds the record. He deported more illegal immigrants, especially those who were actually criminals, without sending a bunch of masked secret police into the streets.

Trump is trying to keep one side of his campaign promise, which is to have the biggest deportation of immigrants in history. And despite his campaign promises, he's not too concerned about who's a criminal and who is not. Maybe at the beginning he was, but clearly not anymore.

Now, isn't it better to do a little police work, identify people who are actually a problem, reduce the illegal immigrant numbers, and not stir up a whole bunch of shit among the citizens of this country?

I don't recall such resistance to President Obama's orders to remove criminal illegal aliens.

'Sanctuary Cities' were created to thwart Trump's orders, not Obama's.
In my home state of Massachusetts, a Judge has been charged with sneaking criminal defendants out a back door to evade immigration officers.

That's politics, not common sense, so Trump can hardly be blamed for forcing the issue.
