Obama did authorize the use of drones in the "war on terror" as an alternative to having boots on the ground. The use of drones didn't prove to be as surgical as they were hoping. I recall there were some U.S. citizens killed by drones in other countries.

Do you think this is an apples to apples comparison to having masked secret police invading cities/states in this country?

I don't consider it to be apples to apples, I made a purposefully stupid response to the myriad of over-simpliflied, low reasoning responses that are happening here. when in Rome.....
