Hopefully, that could be rooted out in the jury selection process.

He was a bad cop. He was showing off to the rookie cops how he could hold down Floyd without using his hands, as shown by his hands in his pockets. I don't think he suffocated Floyd, as the autopsy shows, but his indifference and negligence allowed Floyd to die while he was holding him down. Had he been more involved and concerned of the situation they could have possibly saved Floyd from his suspected overdose death. I think the second degree murder charge is a bit overreaching, but I would rather see him guilty on all three counts than walk free. JM2C

My understanding was Floyd died in the ambulance, not while he was held down. I could be wrong though. When a thug tries to buy alcohol with fake money and gets the police called in and then fights police to stay out of jail I have no sympathy for the person.

I am unable to parse your sentence.  They voted to convict a cop of being targeted?  What?

You are smart enough to know what I meant, but;

You commented that jury members lives would be in danger from voting to convict Chauvin. I'm asking for actual proof that that has ever happened. Police seeking violent retribution against a jury member.

As I understand that sort of thing was common by both sides in mobster times.  If it did happen, what do you suppose are the chances the murdering cop would be tried and found guilty, thereby making it a matter of public record?  I'd put it around 2%.

You give Haj WAY too much credit. He is in fact NOT smart enough. In the dictionary next to mouthbreather... is a picture of him.

Maybe but if I were him I wouldn't be hopeful

There are real issues raised in the appeal, the question will be whether the  judge who hears it, feels the same....
