FreeCad - anyone played around with this software?

I've recently found myself with some extra time on my hands. I remember playing around with this a long time ago and finding that it wasn't very good.  I decided to download it again just to see if it's made any progress and it seems to have come a long way since.

I wouldn't compare it to the big guys obviously, but it's more capable than I thought?
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

I had the last version on my home computer, and actually forgot about it.  Downloading the newer version now to check it out.
I have Solidworks at work, so that's my go-to.  Something like freecad may be handy for home projects

It looks like it's come a long way since the first time I played with it.

They have the new 1.1 RC up for download too.  I thought about messing with that.

Just D/L the 1.0.2, It definitely has a Lot going on for freeware.  If I didn't have so much quit in me, I'd probably use it more  ;D

It's nice that it has a portable version!

Probably true, but the cad system is free.
