There is an update for 2026 R2 due out soon.
I'm told release is scheduled for the end of this month

Well, at least it's the season for fixing stuff and not adding more features bugs.

MIL-TFP-41

We usually update in the fall, or at least until the first update/fix or break shit patch is released. Even then, 90% of the time I find an annoying bug. Submit, gets an R number, yadda yadda. Most of the time, the bugs I find are fixed in the subsequent release, which tells me I am not the only one who has run across it. Which always lead me to question....If I am not the only one seeing it, why did they release it in the first place.

And until I get any kind of compensation for doing beta shit, it is not going to happen. I am too busy working around issues in existing version to bother testing anything new.

Upping that development/bug fix cycle is a good thing.

So I'm an optimist. #SueMe

Maybe lengthen the development cycle and shorten the bug fix cycle would be better.
Development is the add-bugs part of the cycle, and they make them faster than they kill them.

...kinda like the US with enemies in the middle east.

For those of you who have access to the Tech Preview forum at Mastercam.com, they have released Update1 for 2026 R2

The Release notes list a full page of fixes for Translate issues.

I've been really busy and may have missed the email announcing it's release on 04/17/26.

I found the post in Tech Preview this morning and installed it via the update utility. The update ran OK, though it did hang for a while halfway through.

I'm using 2026R2 for production work so I'll be giving it a workout tomorrow.
