If you are paying the highest gas prices ever in your state it's because of all the state and local taxes, which are not Orange mans fault. That being said I'm not defending the war in Iran. I agree with you there - generally a president doesn't affect gas prices, unless they block the strait of Hormuz.

Gas here is $1 a gallon less now than the peak when Obama weas in office.

This is factually inaccurate sir.  The peak of which you speak was in July 2008, and while that was the year that Obama was elected, a certain shrub/devil combination was at the head of the executive branch, Bush II and Über-Dick.  (It was $4.05, inflation-adjusted to a couple cents more than $6 now.)
