Interesting facts about gas prices. Two major things affect gas prices from a federal level. One is crude oil prices. Currently they are about the same as they were in 2012. The second is federal gas tax, which has been $.34/per gallon since 1993. If you are paying the highest gas prices ever in your state it's because of all the state and local taxes, which are not Orange mans fault. That being said I'm not defending the war in Iran. I'm just looking at gas prices for what they are.

I agree with you there - generally a president doesn't affect gas prices, unless they block the strait of Hormuz.

This is factually inaccurate sir.  The peak of which you speak was in July 2008, and while that was the year that Obama was elected, a certain shrub/devil combination was at the head of the executive branch, Bush II and Über-Dick.  (It was $4.05, inflation-adjusted to a couple cents more than $6 now.)
