So one of the things that I do at work is order the majority of cutting tools for all of our machines. Safe to say I get exposed to a shitload of different brands. One brand has a thing for primates and has "high performance" and "super bitchin performance" tools. Maybe these tools are great, I dunno...but advertising them as "super bitchin" just doesn't impress me. Only thing I can figure is they had a 12 y/o come up with the name.
There are a bunch of companies like this. I remember at one IMTS a couple of times ago one cutting tool company had a guy in drag handing out condoms...their drill was called the penetrator or something. Needless to say I didn't even bother having them scan my badge.

No real point to this post...tho if any of you work for these companies, try asking someone over the age of 15 when coming up with a tool name.

Hike your skirt up and order a few. You'll soon realize the tools really are 'Super Bitchin'!  :ice:

Who remembers the naked Iscar lady (ladies?) body painted like a chameleon to advertise for their Chameleon line at IMTS? I could be wrong but I think it IMTS '98.

I don't have a problem with "super bitchin' performance." Like Incog said, it has roots in the 70's. Some may think it's corny, but I don't see it as offensive. Then again, I don't get offended by those kinda things. However, I think the dressing in drag and condom thing crossed the line as far as professional business is concerned. I would have avoided them as well.

This has got to be heard to believed. I called the company in question and got their automated system.
You are greeted with "What up home slice"...and it goes downhill from there.
