I've seen people do that with starter fluid while out jeeping.

I'd run with my air pressure down to 4psi but had bead locks so never lost a bead.   I've seen people roll the tire right off the bead and have to re-seat it on the trail.  

Rule of thumb.  Don't use too much.  You can always try again.  :lol:

Those guys were lucky
That could have gone very badly.
They got off easy with a ruined tire and  blown out windows
I'm guessing their ears were ringing for a day or two :rofl:

When I was 18 I worked at a Big O tires in SoCal. The trend of the day was the 13" Dayton wheels with the skinny tires that looked round when inflated. We used to call them maypops because they were notorious for blowouts because they were always partially riding on the sidewall. We were not allowed to flame set the tire beads so we used a combination of a strap on the center of the tire and wheel bearing grease packed around the rim to make it air tight until the bead set. We would put a garbage bag around the wheel when inflating because when the bead set all that wheel bearing grease would go flying.
