So, in the latest move the government in Canada wants to sell its airports to investors to "lower costs"
Because private equity never raises prices.  8)

My condolences.  Let the robber barons loose.  And when you complain that they've engaged in short-term profit-taking to the neglect of long-term re-investment, their response: "Release the hounds!"

Indeed that seems particularly stupid because.. remember when the 407 was privatized? How many people are enjoying those low prices??
Carney trying to benefit some buddies?

Selling the 407 was an abomination just like selling Hydro One.

Well, ofc, he was appointed by the liberal board of directors to get the books back in order after Justin Trudeau, so he is desperate to perform, he doesn't have the best track record, but you can't say he is worse at management than the "idiot king" I'm happy for him on the Marriage tho, i do love weddings

But Carney is not really a Canadian tho, he's english

Yk, maybe he has a passport, but he's lived elsewhere and all his investments are in other countries, he doesn't even have the financial motive for Canada to succeed

Is this some new Rebel Media slam attempt? He's lived most of his life in Canada. Living elsewhere for some time is if anything, good worldly experience.

Yeah, was the governor of the Bank of England and appears in pictures with Ghislane Maxwell and Prince Andrew also.
He definetly has an agenda in my opinion, and they disqualified the indian woman candidate and 75% of liberals couldnt vote in the party election, he was selected by the board of directors of the liberals and appointed, he got his majority by getting the people who were voted in too change partners using an obscene loophole in the election process

Yeah I think he has an agenda too but he was clearly the most qualified outside of...?  Given the biggest issues right now are economic, having a long standing boring finance guy that ran both the bank of Canada AND the Bank of England, is not a bad thing at all.
Who else would be doing a better job right now
