I went to Cleveland this weekend for Mother's Day. It was a short weekend but enjoyable. I spent most of Saturday playing with my granddaughters, soon to be 8 and soon to be 3. The 3 year old does not suffer fools lightly and is very independent.

My wife was in another room with her when I heard her say "don't do that! you're going to smash your finger!' followed by intense crying and wailing. The 3 year old was sticking her finger in between the hinge side of a door and the wall. Just to prove she won't take shit from anybody, she closed the door with her finger in there. I'm sure she won't do that again.

This weekend I'm going to Topeka to visit my daughter and grandkids, and my son. Those grandkids are a girl, 11, and boy, 14.
I have 4 other grandkids I'm trying to work out when to visit. 2 are in Tacoma and 2 are in North Dakota, soon to be in Okinawa.

LOL. The three year old sounds like trouble.

It's actually Steilacoom, which, I think, is a suburb of Tacoma. I'll remember that next time I go. Thanks.
