I've run the full version of Cimco Edit for years because of it's backplot capability.
Back in the day it was $150 to buy and $50/year for mainteance... a real bargain.

I don't know what it costs buy now and maintenance is higher, but it's still a bargain.

I just installed the latest version (26.01.20) and it asked me if I'd like to install Cimco Verify for Mastercam. Of course, I said OK

It looks like it will run NCI like Mastercam Verify and can also run posted code on machine simulations like Vericut.

My current Cimco license does not support it and I'm running on a 30 day demo license.

I think there are 2 different licensing levels ... on fro NCI support and one for gcode support.

The NCI version is very impressive, it lauches and runs right out of Mastercam just like Mastercam Verify.

The visual quality is far superior to regular Mastercam Verify.

Assuming the price reasonable, I plan to add it to my license.

So far I have been unsuccessful in  getting any details as all phone numbers lead to voicemail and I have not had a call back yet.

I really miss my old Mastercam dealer  :(

Introducing CIMCO Edit Core and CIMCO Edit Ultra

If I'm reading this right I should be able to run it on my current license though I have been unsuccessful getting it to accept my license

OK, I couldn't get Cimco Verify to accept my license.
I called my MC dealer ... straight to voice mail
I called my dealer's sales line   straight to voicemail
I called Mastercam Central's Sales line.. they answered right away and forwarded me to
my new official Mastercam rep ... straight to voice mail
It's been about 3 hours and zero call backs..
I am thankful this was not an emergency.
I have found memories of back in the day when I had a hasp die on me.
CadCam Consulting hand delivered me a new hasp less than an hour after I called.

After going 0 and 4 with Mastercam, I called Cimco America.
Mike S spent an hour on the phone trying to help, then made some phone calls.
Cimco Ultra is just a new name for what I already have.
Cimco Verify is a new product that requires a new license.
It's $1K to buy and about $210/year maintenance.
I've got 30 days to play with the trial license, but I'm pretty sure I will be buying this

Here is the link to the CimcoVerify web page.
I'm still not clear on which license is required for each feature.

Is this built on the module works back end?

If you get this are you paying twice for the same technology just with different front end.

Why does mastercam need a third party verification module? I'm so confused!

no.. it's built by Cimco Edit

and I agree completely but.....

It's got a some feature MC Verify doesn't have and a couple that work much better

1. you can launch it in Cimco Edit mode and it will post the file, port everything to Cimco Edit and you can run Cimco Verify and watch it stepping though gcode.

2. Compare is much faster than Verify Compare... and more useful. You can launch Compare and drag your mouse over the
finished model and measure your stock thickness dynamically

3. The visual quality of the cut model is superior to MC Verify during and after cutting.

The only thing I've found missing is color loop between tools.. and I'm hoping that is a problem between the seat and the keyboard.

4. Service .. I called 4 different Mastercam numbers today, did not reach anyone that could help, left three messages     and have not heard back from anyone. I called Cimco America and Mike spent an hour and a half trying to help, even though I am not a Cimco America customer.

Today was not an emergency, by any means, but if it had been, I would still be dead in the water.
As I said earlier, I really really really miss my old Mastercam dealer.

If you follow that link, you can download a copy with a full thirty day trial license.
I don't know how many version back it supports, but I have 25, 226 and 27 on this machine and offered to install CEV
into all three versions.. I just let it do 2027.

Like, the material removal and simulation engine was built from scratch by Cimco?

Yes... it'd a stand alone simulation engine. You can buy Cimco Verify as a standalone product that runs solely on gcode.

This is similar to Vericut.  There is Vericut.. and there is the Vericut for Mastercam add-on.

Cimco Edit can run by itself or you can launch it from inside Mastercam with the CimcoEdit for Mastercam addon.

Of course Vericut is far more sophisticated and expensive.
