Time to go fullll circle

Well, when companies make bad hiring decisions in product development or poor promotion choices that's kinda what almost always happens.

Mastercam V6 (not X6) had a C-Hook called SyncLathe (IIRC)... the frame work was there for improvement for multi-tasking environments. The problem; certain individuals didn't understand it and didn't create it therefore it should be abandoned.

People in positions of power and fake influence spend far too much time and capital (both monetary and leadership) putting their fingerprints on stuff because their fragile egos can't handle other people's good ideas. It's sad and pathetic really.

Reminds me of my oldest Customer.... They employed a new shop foreman - a total imposter but he had the confidence of a lion. Would stand there in the pissing rain and state it was sunny and would not back down.
The directors (all non tech) loved him because he'd "written 100 programs in 3months and cut cycle times by 25%)....
But the owner, part time as he'd stepped right back, collared me for a chat asking me my thoughts as " something about him wasn't right".
It took a morning with file compare to show that all "his programs" were just new numbers with his name at the top, and the changes were feeds only... And what he'd done was slow them right down.
So he could get his overtime....
Which was then my other obvious Q to the owner - if throughput is way up because cycle times were 25% reduced, why has overtime for the last 9 months been so high including all day Saturdsys?
And why has sales (output) been virtually identical as the previous 2 years....
He was gone within the week, and one of the directors got really chompy with me "he was a great bloke - he always said good morning to me and we had a chat every morning"....
