dont know what every one else is holding guns and ammo for but mine are for when government fails.
when there is so much failure like afganastan, mexico and so many other country's you need to be able to protect yourself, family etc.
i have no illusion of taking out my government but do think they fail on a lot of levels and if they collapse i will be they and several others best friend. hope it never happens but????

Spring of 2020 I got a nice compound crossbow, in case I needed to put food on the table.  Figured if I were shooting food it would be better not to announce that to the neighborhood.

i have a nice competition pellet gun 1200 ft. per second. that the neighbors have no idea where some of our pesky critters went lol. i am in neighbor hood  (1 acre surrounded by houses) so nothing but small game here. lol
good move on your part. keep stealthy and steady.
