Did you get a tax return by card before? Last year for the first stimulus we got a direct deposit because that was how our taxes were done. Then last summer I did an amended return because I found a mistake that gained us $500 back. Amended return refund only go by check. Because our last payment from uncle Sam was by check, this last stimulus came by check as well.

No I get the old fashioned paper check delivered then go and cash it.
Not sure why , I just like doing things like that.
The last stimulus check I got last year was paper as well , that's partly why I was confused when I got a debt card .
plus the fact I don't member hearing about a gubmint cheese card being issued .
Thinking they are going to try something like get everyone on gubmint electronic moneys and phase out the paper coin money.

I get the check and walk it into the bank also. This gives a paper and electronic receipt for the transaction.

I think that this is the ultimate wish for all this Covid lockdown and relief over abuse. This is part of the Great Reset that the world left is clamoring about.

It seems it would be better to strengthen unemployment benefits rather than throw buckets of money around.

My daughter who had a baby last year and worked maybe 3 or 4 months at 12 dollars an hour, will be getting a refund of over 5K. Some of that is stimulus money she didnt get for her child, but the rest? She probably only paid in at the most a couple hundred dollars. How does she get so much money back?
