I have an online meeting every week... there's a "pronouns" box near title. So far only 2-3 people out of the 150 or so in the meeting use it. If I thought I could do it and suffer no consequences, I'd put something unsavory in there. Ridiculous.

Pronouns... da fuq?

When I see those boxes and start thinking that I may want to joke about it the better side of reasoning tells me that it's a trap.   :D

The pronoun thing...its fucking crazy. Once when I was talking to my kids (boy & girl) I said something like "Hey guys lets get ready"
some "woman" overheard and came up to me and said I shouldn't be calling them that...saying "guys"
I told her "Only a dipship would think that 'guys' is offensive in any context. Is your pronoun DS?"
Thankfully she walked away in a huff.

I visited my daughter in Seattle several years ago. She took me downtown to site see and we found ourselves right in the middle of the pride parade. There were barely dressed people everywhere. There was a naked guy wearing either a goat head or a horse head, I don't remember which. My young grand children with me.
Judging from the size of his junk, it's no wonder he was hiding his face.

I never forget a conversation I had with a friend I grew up with. He happened to be gay... or at least professed as much. Anyway, in the early 90's we were talking about the subject of "accepting" something vs. "approving" something. He was my friend. I accepted him the way he was so long as he didn't force his lifestyle on me. I however did not approve of his lifestyle nor would I ever. We agreed to disagree the matter. We remained friends. Still hanging out from time to time, life permitting.

The Gay Marriage Proposition came up a few years later. We hadn't spoken for a while. He was busy, I was busy. Life Happens. We meet up for coffee and get into almost the same discussion as last time. Last result was agree to disagree. Remaining friends. This time however I was a "hateful bigot" because I did not "approve".

I ALWAYS knew it would come down to approve and/or endorse... which I will NEVER do. For ANY reason or ANY person... even if it were my own offspring. I was labeled "paranoid", "alarmist", and a whole host of other terms by many because I believed it would always come down to approval.

Anyway, he and I haven't spoken since. Puh-thetic. I guess in order to be friends with people today you have to approve of everything they do.

Even back in the 90s I had the live and let live approach.

I figure that it's not up to me to approve or disapprove of how someone lives their lives.  If two people want to get married more power to them. They have every right to be just as miserable as the rest of us.  :D

Today is the hog show at our county fair. Our county, at least the part that shows hogs at the fair, is VERY conservative. The show is being webcast live. I like to pop in and see how some friend's and neighbor's kids are doing.

I barely noticed the judge at first. Then I was like, wait... Are his fingernails painted? Then I was like, uh... Is he wearing eyeliner? And what I can only assume are ultra-long, fake eyelashes?

Yes, yes, and yes.

Oh he's gonna fit right in.

Meh, rural Indiana, they already put lipstick and lashes on the hogs so why not on the judge also.

"They've" created "their" own wiki, with about a dozen different -fill-in-the-blank-sexual identities and links to pronouns and neopronouns   (like Thon, Ae, Per & Fae).
I don't understand how they keep increasing in numbers without the ability to breed.

I'm sorry, but coming from this group, that's hilarious.
