Just heard that the PA supreme court overturned Cosby's conviction. He is going home today a free man. Interesting circumstances around a previous plea agreement that the prosecuting DA ignored that made for the overturn.

Seem the court should be ruling that a DA wheeling and dealing is inadmissible...or whatever the proper legal term is.

Nah, he's black. It's ok to rape people if you're black.

Seriously. You make an agreement with an officer of the court for your city/county/state and then their successor decides they don't need to honor it, and you OK with that. Gov can just change their mind at any time regardless of previous agreements.

The other big issue I had with Cosby's trial was that they allowed all these other alleged victims to testify. That is scary. Allegations of separate crimes have always been inadmissible in a criminal trial.

Two days of it on NPR
breathless outrage. stunned, stunned, knife through the heart, devastated yada yada yada.

No doubt Cosby was a creep, but if you're going to convict a man and throw him in prison
you need to do it legally, especially if your target has deep pockets and good lawyers.

Cudos to the PA SC for following the law and not bending to popular opinion
I wish the US SC would do that

obviously, Persecutors are given far too much power in this country along with a long laundry list of problems in the judicial system.
Statute of limitations and whatnot, making a solid case against Mr drug'em-n-rape'em impossible, should have been the end of it from a due process standpoint. So this persecutor that railroaded Cosby should be sanctioned and he should be freed.
I was just talking to a couple that used ecstasy. Woman never remembered the previous night.
