Yes, started learning as soon as I could see over the bed of my grandfather's lathe.

I always try to avoid questions where the answer would be "yes or no".  They will just tell you what they think you want to hear.  I ask questions along the lines of "what's your favorite part of this trade?" or "looking at your resume, there are gaps of employment what happened during those times?"  Mostly I just try to keep them talking because the idiots always have a "tell".
