So, my daughter, recently starting a new job at a local hospital was required to get the covid vaccine. She received the Pfizer vaccine..

Today, about 5 days after getting the 1st shot, she went to urgent care....a somewhat rare side effect in people with autoimmune issues is shingles. Well, she has shingle in her eye...also including the cornea...

The only possible positive is it seems people who have this particular side effect seem to recover from it fairly quickly.

Prayers for your Daughter sir for a speedy recovery and gets this behind her.

I've always been proactive about giving Blood usually through a work event.

The Last Time , this girl kept missing, so she kept moving it around.

Moving it around while it was fully inserted !!!! Flipping hurt like Hell.

I only had one really bad time at the Red Cross. I've been giving blood since the late 70's. Mostly once a year although I did do Phresis (platelet donation) for about 5 years, so I've been stuck lots of times. This gal must have jabbed me about ten times before another nurse came to my rescue. Boy, was my arm brused!

i have a autoimmune too and my drs are on me to get the shingles vaccine were hers ?
i had shingles right above my eye and they were afraid of it getting into my eye, a serious situation for sure, then i was allergic to Valtrex that they give you for shingles.
here's hoping it turns out good and recovers quickly without any damage

i had shingles right above my eye and they were afraid of it getting into my eye, a serious situation for sure,

a guy at work got shingles and it really messed him up
It paralyzed the left side of his face, affecting his speech and his appearance.
His face drooped and it was very difficult to understand his speech.
I thought he had had a stroke.
It's been about 4 months and he is much better, but no where near 100%
The doctors have told him he probably won't ever make it back 100%

I've never said Trump was right about everything... he was simply the most conservative president of my lifetime.
And remember... Trump has always advocated for this so-called vaccine to be an INDIVIDUAL'S CHOICE... never mandated.

If you democrats would adhere to that... you know... the pesky little thing you liberals seem to hate called FREEDOM... we wouldn't have a problem.

I've always seen you as a bit dense... so I'll say it slower for you... I disagree with Trump on this.
I say he was steered wrong by Fraudulent Fauci and other advisors... but he has embraced them and their opinions... and he will have to live with that.

Everyone I know, including me, was afraid of this virus initially... it was only sensible from initial reports.

But again... I never supported Trump because I thought he was perfect... he never has been... it's that his America First, conservative policies are vastly superior to pretty much everyone else these days... and I'll vote for him again in 2024 too.

Now... a few questions for you...

Do you still feel all warm and fuzzy about your favorite transportation secretary, Pete Buttigeig? Do you think about  him frequently? Would you still support him for president?

How is Biden doing in your book? Are you still glad you voted for him?

I can't wait to hear your thoughts on your party's handling of the border, mandates and infrastructure plans.

Oh man.. It's starting to feel like old times again.

veryone I know, including me, was afraid of this virus initially... it was only sensible from initial reports.

It was the opposite for me.

I was dismissive of it initially.  I'm in pretty good shape and pretty healthy for my age.  I figured that I would just get it and move on.

Fast forward a year. I now Know at least 20 people who have had it just in the last few months including myself.  Several hospitalized.  Two died and one is still trying to recover and may not.  I'm more freaked out by it now than I was in the beginning.

It doesn't help that my girlfriend has family and friends who work in health care.
