When I try to post, why does it try to create multiple files?

But who ever heard of solids back then...

Hey Josh,
since you came over to this forum, I thought I'd ask if you are the Josh C from my reseller? Todd Tracey used to always frequent the forum and I kind of wondered if you picked up where he left when he retired.
This is Scott down at Coverts in case you hadn't figured it out...

Are you sure?    Do you mean of all of the MC versions?

I was using Cimatron back in those days and we switched to MC on V9.   I thought that it was crap compared to Cimatron.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Never used Cimatron.  Did some Camax Cammand, that was command line driven.

Yes, I know the windows have had to be enlarged to hold more data for more options etc. and that's fine, but what I really liked about the V9 interface was navigating through EVERYTHING with single key strokes, no having to hit <Alt> first or assign and memorize hotkeys.  When possible they keystroke was the first letter of the option, when not it was another significant letter of the option, nothing random like <J><M> for "Toolpaths".  It was so fast compared to what's possible in todays Mastercam.  I miss <C>reate <N>ext menu <L>etters (1/4 second) every time I have to create geometry for engraving.

I guess the main thing for me is having to relearn all the keystrokes, like Smarter Every Day's backwards bicycle.

What really ticked me off about it was when I asked CNC Software to improve it, to make it more like it was, they said "No one but you uses access keys, and everyone else loves it the way it is, so you should love it too."

Camax was the shit back in those days.

Cimatron was great in that it used mouse combinations.  It was probably the most efficient cam system I've used since.
