So, Michigan is #6 ahead of #7 Michigan State? Both same records, MSU winning the head to head? Huh? (I'm confused)

Doesn't really matter. In the next few weeks everything will start sorting itself out. But still, so UM is ahead of MSU so... why isn't OSU ahead of Oregon?

Believe you me, Greg. I am NOT taking Purdue lightly. At the Shoe, which is good.

Boilermakers now ranked #19. A dangerous team that's playing really well right now.

(Buckeyes now ranked #4)

Purdue WR David Bell is really good!

Because Michigan is a better team than Sparty, and the committee thinks so too.

F'kin fake field goal...    :wallbash:

Problem is they will NEVER be able to fire him without being labeled as racist by the woke liberal crowd.

I'm sure JoePa is rolling over in his grave as we speak.

Yeah I didn't understand that call. It was a fake punt, wasn't it?
I doubt that, he's had his time, and his record shows he should be on the hot seat.
That game wasn't a great game on either side of the ball, and your QB had to have been hurting the next day. I'll be surprised if the backup doesn't start the next game.

It was a fake FG in the 1st quarter with around 3 minutes left.
PSU had a 3-0 lead at the time.
The ball was on the 2 yard line, 4th down.

So most people would say if you want to go for the TD in that situation, you run your best 2 point conversion play from the two yard line, and if you score you get the six points instead of the two, then take the normal PAT kick for the net seven points.  Not a bad idea, because if you don't score you turn it over on downs, but you put your opponent's back against their own end zone.

ORRRRRR...you take the chip shot FG from the two yard line and put the sure three points on the scoreboard, then kickoff as usual and play defense.

Why Franklin thought the fake FG in that situation was a good call is beyond me.
I played on Special Teams in high school, and the last thing the coaches always yelled from the sideline on a punt or FG attempt was: "WATCH THE FAKE!!!"

Michigan wasn't fooled at all, and Franklin ended up looking like a dipshit.

If Aidan Hutchinson doesn't get drafted top 3 I'll be shocked.

Dude is a feckin' monster!

He is even in the conversation for the Heisman.

He is!
He plays at 110% on every play. He's on a mission and it shows. You don't see players like that too often.

I would give him my vote if I were on the Heisman committee.
It would be nice to see an offensive or defensive lineman win it for the first time.

The QB's, RB's, and WR's get all of the attention for scoring points, but a dominant defensive player can change the outcome of a game without ever touching the football.
