Here is paste from reuters, but it basically said the same thing that Bret Baier said on Fox news.

QuoteThe same day, Senate President Karen Fann wrote to county Board of Supervisors chairman Jack Sellers on May 12, 2021 here , about three "serious issues" in the ongoing audit of the general election results. In the statement, Fann outlined "ongoing non-compliance with the legislative subpoenas", "chain of custody and ballot organization anomalies" and "deleted databases."

In the section about deleted databases, Fann wrote that the Senate discovered that the entire database directory from the D drive of the machine "EMSPrimary" was deleted and the main database for the Election Management System (EMS) software was not located where it was supposed to be, including a screenshot of the database.

Sellers, however, responded in a May 13, 2021 statement visible here saying, "After reviewing the letter with County election and IT experts, I can say the allegations are false and ill-informed.  Moreover, the claim that our employees deleted election files and destroyed evidence is outrageous, completely baseless and beneath the dignity of the Arizona Senate. I demand an immediate retraction of any public statements made to the news media and spread via Twitter."

Megan Gilbertson, communications director for Maricopa County Elections Department, confirmed to Reuters that the claims are false. "Maricopa County did not delete files when preparing the subpoenaed SQL server for delivery," Gilbertson said.

The elections department also responded to Fann's letter in another letter sent to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and County Recorder here on May 17, 2021.

The department said in this letter that nothing was deleted from the database when the server was being shut down and packed up to be sent to the Senate, and that the Senate simply did not retrieve the information from the system correctly.

In a press release from Maricopa County posted on May 17, 2021 here , elected leaders called for the State to end the audit and described the auditors as unqualified.

QuoteAccording to the county elections department, the auditors did not correctly retrieve the data from the system. One of the firms hired in the audit later confirmed they were able to see the data.

Old news. This was hashed out months ago. Yes, the auditors did not know how to get the data out at that time. However, the data still doesn't account for the hundred thousand ballots counted that were not legal votes. This is just the Rino news (Fox) trying to distract from the real fraud.

Didn't they make a statement regarding this saying that all data was backed up and the archives were never subpoenaed?  I posted something about this earlier in the thread I believe. Bret Baier from Fox news claims that this has been debunked and that the data was available?

Entirely possible.

I guess my question now would be, since nothing was deleted, why would they return to that line of assertion in the final report? I mean, that would be a serious allegation, and to rehash it again would most definitely open them up to litigation. That just doesn't makes a lot of sense.

Then again, the blind faith that "humans are mostly good" makes no sense to me either when history tells us the opposite is true. The fact is we are mostly evil, but the majority of people are able to restrain it.

To be fair to Faux.    The report I'm talking about was from months ago.  What I pasted above was from Reuters.

The only reason that I brought it up is because I still see people talking about it as if it hadn't been "hashed out".

I'm still learning bits and pieces of what happened and I'm not trying to pretend to know what's going on one way or the other.  I wasn't really interested until I read some of your discussions about it on the forum.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

How could I explain it without using quotes from the media? Reuters fact checker says that the database deletion didn't happen, I don't really trust the left or right wing media, and you've been vocal about your own mistrust.  But the one thing I do trust is my own sniffer and this election truther stuff doesn't pass the sniff test for me, but I've been wrong before.  But the one thing is, even if I am wrong about that, I know for sure, that conservatives will not win elections relitigating all of this.  Conservative ideas are far superior to leftist pie-in-the sky dreams. Present them honestly, intelligently, and confidently. And when you do that, while having the incredible implosion of the Biden administration in front of you, you'll win voters over.

But if conservatives focus strictly on the last election, while it may fire up some of the base, it will not persuade people to cross sides and vote for a different candidate than they did last time.

This is true. I think that's what annoyed me about the Recall election here in California. Some of the Republicans wanted to talk 2020 Election, Larry Elder wasn't the slightest bit interested in re-litigating that. I believe that is part of the reason he got 46-ish% of the who shall replace Greusome votes.

Let the legal stuff play out. Don't discount/reject it because people trust the system/process. It is CLEARLY in one side's best interest if this goes away un-investigated. That side OWNS the "News" outlets by a VAST margin. That side OWNS Social Media, and when that side OWNS the means with which one can compete, they crushed that too ( :cough: Amazon :cough: Parler :cough: ). That side OWNS print media. When one side controls nearly every means of wide area communications, it doesn't bode well for the opposition to get their message and concerns out. :coffee:

The only thing I know for certain is that last fall everyone I know here in the valley and every co-worker (103) and ex-co-worker (18) were all voting for Trump. My neighborhood literally had election parties with drive in movie theaters set out on their lawns all supporting Trump. Every corner on my 22 mile commute from downtown Phoenix to Scottsdale had Trump supporters waving flags for weeks prior. Spent a few days in Cottonwood the week before the election and that little strip of downtown was packed with Trucks cruising with Trump Flags.

I and everyone I know was completely shocked by the "outcome".

Same for McSally losing to that toad looking gun grabber rocket man.
